During public comment, at the Yucaipa City Council meeting on Sept. 25, the lawsuit brought by the City Clerk Ana Sauseda against the recall proponents was one of the topics again. Attorney for the recall proponents Jim Penman spoke to the councilmembers and the audience and stated he has practiced law for over 40 years, served for 26 years as the elected city attorney for the city of San Bernardino, and is a member of the bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. 'On May 17 the three man council majority, through their city manager and city clerk, caused the filing of a pointless lawsuit against 197 Yucaipa citizens.
