On Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 7:14 P.M., a call for service was received through Sheriff's Dispatch of a single car rollover accident on Yucaipa Boulevard, east of 16th Street. Deputies responded to the accident along with rescue personnel from Yucaipa Fire Department and American Medical Response. Deputies arrived at the scene and found two children, who were in the vehicle, sitting on the curbline. The driver, Behrooz Akabari, 40-year-old resident of Redlands, was declared deceased at the scene.
