On Nov. 14, at the Yucaipa City Council meeting, Fire Captain-Paramedic Scott Gillespie was introduced to the council members, staff and audience by Chief Grant Malinowski.Gillespie also attended San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College for fire science and paramedic school.His background includes serving as a petty officer first class in the United States Navy for three years as a nuclear missile technician, a call firefighter in Forest Falls for the San Bernardino County Fire Department before he began working full-time as a firefighter-paramedic.
