A man armed with a gun near the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Yucaipa Station was taken to a hospital after a deputy-involved shooting Saturday, Jan. 7, authorities said. Deputies encountered the suspect near the station, 34144 block of Yucaipa Blvd., just before 10:25 a.m., leading to a 'lethal force encounter,' sheriff's spokeswoman Gloria Huerta said. The suspect's condition at the hospital was not known. Further information about the suspect was not yet available. No deputies were injured, Huerta said.
